GadgetKing.com has a relatively small office (10-15 users) which comes with a small IT budget. In an effort to streamline our IT spend for both hardware and support costs (of that hardware) we chose NETGEAR's ProSecure UTM.

The UTM has eliminated two pieces of hardware while simplifying the management of our threat security. In addition, we used to rely on software for remote users who wanted to connect to the office, adding additional cost and support issues. We now use the UTM's VPN for all remote connections.

I feel strongly about stopping malware, viruses, spam and the like at the gateway as opposed to the desktop. With that said, we simply haven't found a more affordable and comprehensive solution to the NETGEAR ProSecure UTM.

We have used and recommended to customers firewalls and routers from different manufacturers over the years and the ProSecure UTM25 is the best firewall/unified threat management device we’ve seen to date. The anti-malware protection it provides easily surpasses anything we’ve deployed at our Internet gateway. The Distributed Spam Analysis accurately keeps spam out of our mailboxes and the content filtering allows us to block access to non-productive Websites. The SSL VPN enables us to securely connect to the office through our Web browser when we are remote. At this price point, the features, capabilities, and comprehensiveness cannot be beat.
